Yesterday was the day you’ve been waiting for… (Sorry)
…but not quite in the way you might have expected.
We’ve seen the speculation, and we know some of you were hoping for a surprise drop—so we’ll say it straight:
Keedlestone 1.9 is not releasing today. The way we worded the post made it seem like it was, when in fact it was to let people know an announcement is happening… This announcement…
But what we can finally do… is give you something even better:
Official dates.
Pre-orders for the limited 15th anniversary physical editions will open on:
These will run until May 29th, giving a 4-week window for the first wave.
Because these are real, physical items with limited stock—something that’s never really been done before for an OMSI project—we’re doing this properly.
This ensures everyone has a fair chance to secure one, and that all editions (digital and physical) can launch together.
The moment you’ve all been waiting for:
(Yeah… we can hear you moaning already
)
But there’s a reason.
We want everyone to experience 1.9 at the same time—whether you’re going digital or waiting for your collector’s edition to arrive.
And just as importantly, we’re using these next 5 weeks for intensive testing and polishing to make sure this is the best version of Keedlestone we’ve ever released.
You won’t be waiting in silence.
Over the next few weeks, expect:
– Content from some of your favourite OMSITubers
– Regular previews and updates from us
– Plenty more reveals still to come
– Twice-weekly insights and little titbits into the map
We’re still making final tweaks—especially to building and road textures—but the results so far have been huge.
In some areas, we’ve managed to squeeze out an extra 30 FPS…
which, for OMSI, is massive.
Keedlestone has come a long way since 2011…
and none of this would be possible without all of you.
We genuinely can’t wait for you to experience 1.9 on the map’s 15th anniversary.
There’s still more to reveal… and trust us, you’ll want to stick around.
(Please note: some elements are still being finalised, including road textures, parked vehicles, and AI traffic. – Including pedestrians
)
Some previews:
